As we prepare for another big snowstorm, I had to smile at the memory of all these people (look closely) sunbathing on the teeny tiny beach in front of the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg (Leningrad when I took the photo). Not that it was snowing, but it certainly wasn't what anyone in our group would have considered sunbathing weather.

Reminds me of the UK where people strip to their undergarments and suntan in Hyde park in 15°c weather. We called that "average daytime winter temperature" in Johannesburg!
